Individual and Institutional Membership Benefits (ISHA)

Eligibility

Professionals and administrators, having regard to the training, experience and commitment to the aims and objectives of the Society, are eligible for membership of the Society. Membership is open to professionals from disciplines such as medicine, nursing, pharmacy, architecture, engineering, management, behavioural sciences, and economics.

Medical, nursing, and other health professional training institutions, hospitals and health care institutions; industrial, pharmaceutical, and related institutions, voluntary organizations concerned with health care and health-related services are eligible to become Institutional Members of the Society.

Benefits

A) Life Membership

a)    All regular publications of the Society such as the Journal and yearly conference reports are available to the Life Members free of charge. Books published by the Society are available at 15% concession. .

b)   Life Members can serve as officers and members of the Governing Body.

c)   Life Members will be given preference in presentation of papers at the Conferences.

d)   Life Members will be given preference in publishing articles in the Journal.

e)   Life Members have to pay lower registration fee for attending the conferences/workshops seminars/training programmes.

f)   Life Members are assisted in international exchange programmes, fellowships, and in making professional placement changes in India.

B) Institutional Membership

In addition to the above benefits, the Institutional Members can send as many delegates as they like for attending the annual conferences at concessional registration fees. The participants from member institutions pay much lower fee for attending the training courses/seminars/ workshops conducted by the Society.

IISHA provides assistance to its Institutional Members towards planning new programmes-urban health, leprosy, child health, industrial medical programmes; offers consultancy services, and carries out research studies.

The Institutional Members can order the back issues of the books/journals at 15% discount.

There is concessional tariff for advertisements from Institutional Members for placing the advertisement in the Journal.
